Simmy (born simphiwe nhlangulela ) is a neo -soul/neo -folk music artist .She was born and raised in south africa and is promising to be one of the south africa's biggest stars.Simmy writes and produces some of her own songs.She discovered her talent while in primary school and used to compose her songs by then with the help of her classmates She could also sing in school choir which made her music talent to grow.Some of her songs like "ubala"are inspired by some legend sounds of,dolly parton,platform one,brenda fassie,soul brothers and izingane zo-ma.Simmy was born and raised in e-musinga ,witnessing various street cultures,which shaped her aproach in music and nutured her music career.
